Learning from the past

On Monday 25th November, our Move-mber challenge involved a short walk to the Charles Devine Court to visit our elderly neighbours. The pupils were interested to find out about the past and had created a research survey for the residents at the Sheltered Housing Complex. The pupils wanted to find out about the exercise in the past – what games were played in the playground, what sports were offered during PE, how have things changed. Our pupils will now collate the answers and share with the rest of the school as well as posting here.

It was a very worthwhile afternoon and the pupils really enjoyed exploring the past and comparing experiences from the past with today. We are now looking at ways of having regular visits to Charlie Devine so that we can learn more from our friends.
